Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit this website or contact us, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
This website, lisbonproposalplanner.com, is run by Lisbon Proposal Planner, a proposal planning service based in Lisbon, Portugal. For any privacy question, write to us through the contact form or on WhatsApp.
What this website collects
When you send the enquiry form, the details you type in (your name, email, phone number, the service you're interested in, your date and your message) are forwarded to our email inbox by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-forwarding service. If you message us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta).
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and the fonts are served from this website itself.
What we collect when you book
- Your name and contact details
- The details of your proposal: date, place, setup, and anything you choose to tell us, such as your partner's first name or your story
- Payment records for deposits and balances
- The photos and video we take on the day
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and plan your proposal (steps taken at your request before a contract)
- To deliver the service you booked, including your photos and video (performance of a contract)
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation)
- To show photos or video from your proposal in our portfolio or on social media, only if you both give us permission, which you can withdraw at any time (consent)
Who we share it with
Only the people needed to make your proposal happen: the florist or decorator, the venue or restaurant, the photographer and videographer, and, where a permit is required, the authority or park that issues it. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Some of the services we use (Cloudflare, FormSubmit, WhatsApp and our email provider) may process data outside the European Union. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Portuguese tax law requires. Your photo and video gallery stays online for at least 12 months after delivery; we keep an archive copy for up to 5 years so we can help if you lose your files, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you gave. Contact us and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt).
